Carry out other duties assigned by the Inventory Specialist or District Superintendent Road Safety and Control. The Minnesota Rising Festival is hiring traffic safety and event oversight officers.
Positions available include facility patrol, gate guards, parking/traffic dispatchers, and night guards. Pre/post run opportunities are typically “on demand” and may be offered to employees as they are hired. The place is seasonal; employees who perform well as part of a team are often asked to return for subsequent seasons. You will work alongside the Junior Production Manager and the Front of House Manager to help upload and download the festival website. In addition to general assistance with loading and unloading, you will be tasked with handling all of your festival-related joinery needs as they arise. You’ll help set up the front yard, review festival operations and emergency procedures, coordinate volunteers, and work directly with guests to ensure they have the best experience. Nightly activities include opening the festival ground for guests, ensuring all facilities are clean and functioning, and helping guests find their seats and comply with COVID restrictions.
The main post-holiday cleaning phase is 5 x 8 hour shifts from Wednesday 1 July to Sunday 5 July inclusive, however depending on the nature of the event; staffing requirements may vary based on Needs and factors beyond our control, such as the weather. Completion of the festival after July 5 will be very limited and will be available upon request. NOTE: This work will take place after the festival, so entry into the festival is not included. Summer interns are expected to work during the ten days of the Smithsonian Folk Festival during the last week of June and the first week of July, including the July 4 weekend and holidays.
We invite interns to the Smithsonian Folk Festival throughout the year, although the main work is in the summer. During the summer we are also looking for interns for event production, technical team, festival market, social media, web production, graphic design, gastronomy, curation team, festival blogging, public relations, accessibility, exhibitors and volunteering Coordinator, video production and administration. The festival is currently hiring staff to work front and backstage on 22 Shakespeare productions in our park in Forest Park. Yerba Buena Gardens Festival employs Festival Event staff to organize outdoor performing arts programs and private events at Yerba Buena Gardens.
Festival Services Coordinator The Festival Services Coordinator provides on-campus services, events and hospitality coordination for the ADF community. The Festival Services Coordinator works with the entire ADF school team and reports to the School Administrator. Get Free Performance Tickets All school staff are expected to assist with the overall management and day-to-day operations of ADF summer programs, which often involve non-job related work. Festival service coordinators must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and be able to be part of a team and manage concurrent tasks and deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
There are many different positions in the meat department, including behind the counter and in the customer service department. Internships of more than a few weeks are simply not possible, as the experienced festival staff needed to mentor internships are only on site for a limited time during the year. The most common job request the Festival receives is for an internship. Paid short-term errands (10 PS per hour) are available with the cleaning crew completing the cleanup after the Festival.
