The person in this role will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the SS&E food truck called “Spurs Streets Eats,” serving as the driver for designated events and the event’s on-site freight forwarder/cashier. The food truck driver will report directly to the Culinary Experience Manager and will oversee the logistics of the food truck for assigned activities. Perform tasks required for day-to-day operation of food trucks, including driving, training, food quality control, and cash management; perform other related tasks as needed.
A valid business driver’s license is required to work for Cook Food Truck (individual must have a U.S. driver’s license valid for at least three years; vehicle documentation will be verified and employee must pass Colleges MVR classification). . It is extremely important to pass a driver’s license check as part of the recruitment process. At least two years of full-time or part-time work, food preparation and cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, cafe, catering firm, public or private institution. Applicant must be from South Jersey and have some of the following: A) Food/grill experience B) Knowledge of mechanics C) Flexible lifestyle that allows for sudden work.
